Los Angeles, California. Dia de los Muertos, a traditional Mexican holiday, enjoys great popularity in Los Angeles, California. Every year, Hollywood Forever Cemetery hosts an elaborate Dia de Los Muertos festival on the cemetery grounds. Surrounded by Aztec dancers, colorful decorations, Mexican cuisine, and the dead, community members of all national origins come together to participate in a ceremonial altar competition that honors ancestors and loved ones who have passed. This is an image of festival participants at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
